In Awesome Wonder (Marcus Venables) - CSB 50 Massed Bands

While live concerts may not be happening these days, we wanted to take this opportunity look back at the landmark CSB 50 Concert at Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto, on March 2, 2019. We hope to bring you some comfort at this difficult time by releasing a new song every few days for you to enjoy.

The first piece of the night was "In Awesome Wonder", written by Canadian Staff Bandsman Marcus Venables, specifically for this concert. This piece features the Chicago Staff Band, the New York Staff Band, the Southern Territorial Band, Western Territory Staff Band, and of course the entrance of the Canadian Staff Band.

How Great Thou Art is one of the Christian world's best loved hymns. It always thrills me to sing or listen to it but Marcus Venables' glorious arrangement has taken it to a new level with its stupendous chords and brilliant percussion effects. A wonderfully appropriate way of declaring the glory of God! Thank you Marcus!

I've watched this three times now and I'm still getting goosebumps watching it. It must of been an amazing night actually being there at the concert. And Mark Venables, you are writing some brilliant music.
