Laurie - I Love Onions (with lyrics)

The original of this was recorded by Susan Christie in 1966. This remake was actually released the same year and I can only assume that a UK accent was supposed to make it more appealing to a UK audience. I prefer this version, but then again it's the one I heard first, so to me it is 'the original'! Also I love the kazoo and swanee whistle, which brings to mind 'swanee kazoo' from Radio 4's 'I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue' - superb!
Neither version made the official UK chart, however.
