Red light therapy for me. Cannot handle sun, heat, & humidity in FL, especially at my age. Use red light therapy 10 min daily on my arthritic hands only-- whole game changer. Besides, I did not buy it-- gift from one of my daughters in law😊

Some people don’t have the time, appropriate weather conditions or don’t want cancer.

Dr. Berry, I'm so grateful for all that you have done and continue to do in doing research and sharing about the importance of what we put into our bodies but I want to share that "red light therapy" literally saved my life. I had planned my "exit" from this world but because of OCD I needed to complete some tasks. An acquaintance actually purchased a red light therapy pod and reached out to me not knowing what I was going through. I decided to try it even though I didn't believe anything would change. It did. I lived. It was hard. The pod she has had programs for different issues. I started with the most gentle program and continued with that for awhile. I decided to try the program for anxiety and it gave me the biggest and most awful panic attack ever. I went back to the more gentle program. It healed my brain enough that I did not follow through with my planned exit. I still struggle with an eating disorder. I still have anxiety but not the panic attacks that had kept me living in fear. What I eat makes a huge difference but food is difficult when that's what you turn to for self-soothing when triggered in trauma. I stopped doing the therapy. I should probably go back. 😊 I just wanted to share my positive experience

Dr. Berry is my favorite Carnivore MD.

That said, he just demonstrated his ignorance regarding red/NIR light therapy using high end LEDs. He has obviously not read ANY of the literature published in the last 5 years.

His statements regarding the sun are true, but when you live at 47.5 degrees north like I do, there is no opportunity to get sufficient sunlight during the winter.

Go study the literature, Dr. Berry. It’s all on PubMED. You’re clueless on this topic.

Hmmm, I use RLT with Near Infrared and pulse light 3 times a week for 5 min and I have seen tremendous results in my skin tone, complexion, pores and it’s helped with my overall redness.

There actually is a lot of research regarding photobiomodulation. It does have benefits for people like me who have been working nights for 20 years.

There's been tons of good research on red light therapy, look it up. And the quality panels are very different than your kids toys or even the Sun

I'm a 70yo woman. I'm not taking my top off outside, doc. Besides, it gets damn cold in the winter in central Illinois.
Though after reading some of the comments, I may invest in a lamp...

I have an autoimmune disease triggered by exposure to part of the UVA spectrum, so sun exposure is a no go for me and many others with photosensitive conditions. I'm aware of at least one successful controlled RCT of the use of near-infrared light generated by led bulbs in treating patients hospitalized for treatment of COVID. Treated pts discharged an average of 4 days earlier than pts receiving standard care only. Other objective measures of more rapid improvement also.

They are doing research right now about it reversing macular degeneration. My eyesight has improved for distance vision and pressure reduced on glaucoma watch. I was using red light and near infrared red light therapy for my skin which works and gained these accidental benefits. Hopefully, the research will make you regret these videos 😅

NASA did research on this. Info tells what wavelengths that are recommended.
Everything has to be Investigated to get the right information.

Good devices use legitimate near/far IR that are proven to penetrate (630-660nm) wavelength, which have been used across the board in vetenary practices way before the biohacking trend. But yes, sun is good as well.

I am fair and genetically Scottish, I live at 5000+ above sea level in a high mountain desert. No joke i spent 10 min or less talking to a door to door salesgirl the other day and I got a sunburn 😅. I dont think that the few min i can handle is gonna give me the same benefits as my specific wavelengths or visible and invisible light that my red light therapy can give me. Also there ARE studies that show these LED lights have benefits and yeah they arent as good as lasers but they are more affordable and as long as you're consistent you will see benefits. I expect better of you sir. Also Im a women, i cant just be wipping my shirt off 😂.

There are people living&working in the northern hemisphere. I've been 5 months in Norway this summer and hardly got any sun. So, yeah we need red light therapy.

I'm one of those who are so messed up that carnivore alone doesn't make a dent in my health. I'll take what i can get, and got me a mitohacker 4 in December. I'm also at Bill Nott latitude in Sweden and there simply is no usable sunlight in the winter.

People, go watch Elliot Overton taking to Bart Kay about photobiomodulation/red light therapy. That's way more constructive than this little rant from Dr Berry.
