$3000 for a vacuum is stupid. That law needs to be updated and a max $1000 cap needs to be law for *any* direct/door to door sale.

The worst decision I made was coming back from a 2 year mission and doing summer sales. Never do it. Never do business with those guys. They also exploit young kids. I’m waiting for John Oliver to explore how shady these companies are. Sad that they thrive in UT.

when i get door to door ppl i tell them to go away and not interested as a lot of these are scammers

Who pays that much on the spot for that? That sounds like a scam the second it appeared, imagine just being dumb.

$3000 for a vacuum cleaner, what were you thinking? By law, if someone comes to your property and you ask them to leave for the second time then it becomes criminal trespassing, that is how to treat door-to-door salesmen just tell them about the law and see how fast they take off.

I think besides kids school fundraisers all door to door sales should stop. You get these really nice older people who get taken advantage of, I mean $3, 000 for a vacuum cleaner?! I mean you could hire someone to come vacuum once a week and a company to come clean your air filters and air ducts twice a year and also buy an air purifier for that much money. Also, that law needs to be updated.

As someone in this line of work. It’s funny to see a product like this still being sold on the doors.. the margins must be sky high on that thing! Poor communication between the customer and the sales rep. Probably blocked the man so he gets his cut but, fair play having the KSL team take care of this matter. Door to door sales is one of the best and most cost effective ways to get a product or service to market, that also means the consumer can reap the benefit of a good deal if they are in the market for whatever goods or services the company provides.
