Rumors of a live-action Frozen remake from Disney sent fan circles online into a frenzy, and while the project has been discussed a few times over the years nothing official has ever materialized. 2013’s Frozen was an unexpected mega-success for Disney, and is arguably the most successful new franchise from the House of Mouse in the 21st century so far. Based on Chris Henderson's story The Snow Queen, the Frozen movies focus on Elsa and Anna, the Queen and Princess of Arendelle.

Frozen is a tale that combines the power of love between siblings with a talking snowman, a plot that involves a land covered in ice, a mystical queen with superpowers, and some of the best Disney songs in decades. It was an instant hit, as was the sequel Frozen 2 in 2019. Given the popularity of the franchise that still endures a decade later it’s easy to see why the idea of a live-action Frozen remake gained instant popularity.

This almost had me until I saw The snowman from the Michael Keaton movie Jack Frost.Jack Frost is a 1998 American Christmas fantasy comedy film directed by Troy Miller and starring Michael Keaton and Kelly Preston. Keaton plays the title character, a father and musician killed in a car accident, only to be brought back to life in the form of a snowman via a magical harmonica.

Regarding the second movie, I have to say that I didn't like the fact that the only human antagonist was posthumous. Maybe the main antagonists could be the Elementals. Or maybe it was Athohallan. But they could have done that the main antagonist was a member of the tribe who had investigated the allegations of the war between Arendelle and Northuldra and had arranged for Elsa to be brought to the cave and then left her frozen with the intention of eliminating the sister as well, revealing that he hates the entire family, due to Runeard's actions. It would have been cool.

I hope that in the third film they'l bring Hans back and that his family will be there as well, including his father. The latter could be the main antagonist and turn out to be the true main antagonist of the saga (perhaps even as the unseen final antagonist of the second movie).
