First looks at the brand new Heritage Guitars H-535 model in Original Sunburst. Special thanks to the homies at Heritage for sending me this beauty. This guitar features a solid center block and laminated figured maple construction, matched with a pair of Seymour Duncan '59 humbuckers.

Do you think it’s too crisp and bright sounding? I tried one out and the crafting was outstanding but wasn’t a fan of bright pick ups. If they offer it with pick ups with extended low and shimmery high would be a really nice alternative. However Im no expert.

Awesome vid - btw when you ship a guitar, supposedly you are supposed to loosen the strings quite a bit.

Such a shame that Heritage sold the company to a Chinese one in 2016. Apparently the new owners totally cleaned house, got rid of most of the builders that had been there for decades. The remaining ones quit and said that the new personnel doesn’t care about quality, only that no errors are made in the production process. Looks like they’ve gone the Gibson route: compromising craftsmanship for financial gain :(
