The Detroit Lions injury luck cannot possibly get any worse.

After suffering three more defensive injuries against the Buffalo Bills, the news got even worse on Monday. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Lions running back David Montgomery is “out indefinitely” after suffering an MCL injury on Sunday. Per Schefter, Montgomery is undergoing more tests, but could be out for the season.

“He just got a little banged up,” coach Dan Campbell said after the game. “He got a little banged up, and really, look, we only had 15 rushes. We never got our run game going, which was going to be a point of emphasis.”

Lions fan here. Imma be honest, this year ain’t our year. This team is absolutely riddled with injuries. You can say next man up but that’ll only take you so far (look at the last 3 games). The defense was horrendous. I just hope the Lions win the division.

When Hutch went down, they said season over and the Lions went on a win streak.
This isn’t a one man team. AND THEY ONLY HAVE 2! Losses.

For some reason I think Montgomery might have already been injured for the past few weeks and he was possibly just asking to get the needle to the knee to take the pain away so he can play and it probably finally got to the point where the needle isn't working anymore because it seemed like he hasn't been running how he usually runs he might have one good run here and there but then it seems like he's just not as effective as he usually is and I remember him injuring his knee like a few weeks ago and one of those games and he left then he came back then he left and then they were talking about he might sit out and he ended up playing the next game and he just didn't seem like the same Monty that we know so I'm wondering if this injury was already there and it just got to the point where the needle isn't doing anything to mask of the pain or take the swelling down anymore

It definitely sucks for sure but this is Vaki’s time to prove himself. We have a dynamic duo, but it’ll be like Michigan having Corum, Edwards, and Kalel Mullings

This is (at least to me) the least worrisome of all our injuries. I think Reynolds is the same type of back. I think we’ll be ok in the running game.

Craig Reynolds is aprox the same size as Montgomery. I guess we'll get to see how well he does.

We are in severe trouble for the playoffs. We have to GET to at least the NFC Championship game to get Hutch back. While I’m not absolutely Doom and Gloom, I do believe that the Super Bowl is a dubious prospect now. I said at the beginning of the season that only injuries could derail a Lions championship. I think that we may have just passed the tipping point.

How I hope that I’m wrong…but I’ve followed this team for 45 years now. I vomited in my mouth a little when I first heard about Knuckles.
