Every year, the Smart City Mayors’ Summit gathers city mayors and high-profile municipal delegates from across the globe to share and exchanges their insights on the latest governmental strategies and trends in smart cities. The Summit is not just one of the biggest highlights in the Smart City Summit and Expo, but the world’s largest networking platform among smart city governments. Since the Taipei City Government joined as one of the event organizers, the number of participating delegates surged over the years. In 2019, it hit the record by engaging 128 city representatives attending in person. Even with the impact by COVID-19 from 2020 and forth, the Summit was still held annually and attracted over a hundred municipal delegates to join the livestreaming event.

This year, the Mayors’ Summit will be conducted in a hybrid form. In concordance with the theme of SCSE: Digital Transformation Takes Smart Cities to New Heights, the topics for roundtable sessions will be “How do cities respond to the "New Normal" with digital transformation?” and “In face of the "New Normal" in pandemic era, what role do city governments play in driving the city's digital transformation?” It is expected that through this idea exchange and the multi-party dialogue on groundbreaking policy-making among cities, the Summit will further engage the representatives with cross-border connection and collaborations.

The 2022 Smart City Mayors’ Summit will be conducted in two sessions involving over 100 city representatives from around the world. All municipal delegates and business stakeholders are welcome to join!
