I love how this is a call back joke to the SG1 episode Tangent from season 4 when at the cold open a general, a colonel, major and a Dr all greet each other in succession and it sound funny. Carter was there both times but she was the Major last time.

When this came out I was in high school. And in JROTC I eventually got promoted to cadet Colonel by another student who was also a cadet Colonel and the instructor who was a retired Army Colonel. So there was a moment like this with the three of us shaking hands and going “Colonel, colonel, colonel.” 😂 made me smile to think back on this scene in that moment.

I saw this joke in a comic It was a marvel one where strange, reed, stark, and another doctor are greeting eachother, everyone is greeting with Doctor, and Stark looks up from his seat and says, "guys, are we seriously doing this? Because I have like...3 Ph.Ds."
No one in that circle greeted Stark as Dr.

It's really funny to me that some beaming (or whatever they call the teleport) technicians had to carefully line up the teleport so that both the ships Colonels would arrive at the same time facing each other 😅 Yes, I know it's a TV show but stuff like that is kinda funny when you look at it a bit more seriously
