Will 'Twister' Movie Inspire People to Become Storm Chasers?

"Twisters" descends on theaters this weekend, bringing monstrous tornadoes and thrilling special effects. The epic disaster film is a sequel to the 1996 blockbuster "Twister," which inspired a generation of meteorologists and storm chasers. Now, the sequel is expected to spawn a new wave of daredevils. However, seasoned storm chasers are warning people to proceed with caution. Inside Edition's Alison Hall has more.

The same thing happened in 1996 when the first movie came out. Everyone wanted to be a tornado hunter, and tv shows were all about the real tornado hunters 😁.

I remember when i was younger, i watched Twister on vhs with my father, and it inspired me to get into storm reaching. Now, in 2024, I watched Twisters with my father and mother in theaters. These memories will always hold a deep meaning to me, bonding with my parents, but also inspiring me to research storms, and myabe later, I'll chase a tornado or two.

Storm chasing also involves a lot of duds and misses, having to track storms that ultimately don't produce anything. People need to educate themselves that storm chasing can also result in losing your life.
