Nice to see you enjoying some classic Swiss food. Little info for those who are interested: The Beef fondue that you had was the Fondue bourguignonne, where you fry the meat in oil. There is also the Fondue Chinoise (side note, Fondue Chinoise, or chinese fondue, is based on Chinese hotpot), where you cook the meat in broth. My Family and I mostly eat these dishes and including Raclette in the autumn or winter. Keep it up!

I make a chocolate fondue for family and friends each year on New Year's Eve. What I discovered early on, is that if the fondue pot uses only milk chocolate, people can only eat a few bites before they hit sugar overload and don't want any more. So I use Bernard Callebaut chocolate slabs – about 50% milk chocolate, and 50% dark chocolate. Most of the sweet taste then comes from the fruit and people will eat more fruit and really enjoy their fondue a lot longer.

Didn't expect this episode, but it's a 5 star experience seeing Mike plow through some fine looking fondue and hanging in Geneva. What a beautiful city!

I've had all 3 fondues. My parents had a fondue pot when I was growing up. Glad you had your first experience of them in the place it originated. Aren't they just scrumptious?! I too love the dessert and cheese ones over the beef.

I'm loving the new format of this channel. Just like the Mike Chen channel, you don't spoil the entire video in the first minute. Now it's only 20+ seconds that I still ff through.

I live in Switzerland, only an hour away from Genève and I can say I’ve only tasted fondue bourguignonne and the cheese fondue along with many different cheese raclettes! It’s so so good 😊 Nice content 😀

I love fondue. I have 3 pots and use them regularly. We get them going on a game night and have a ball playing Mahjong and eating cheese, meat and/or chocolate fondues. Such a great meal to share with friends and take your time to savor whatever you're eating.

If you have one around you, it's worth going to the Melting Pot for a fondue experience if you've never had one. Very pricey, but it's worth it for the experience.

I had some kind of meat fondue in Malmö, Sweden once back in 2012 when meeting up with some online friends. We were 2-4 people per fondue pot and just having a great time chatting over good food. I cherish that memory and would definitely go back to that restaurant again if going back to Malmö, if that restaurant is still in business that is. I moved back to my home town close to Gothenburg shortly after that restaurant visit and haven’t been back to the south part of Sweden since. I lived in Copenhagen at that time though, and also lived in Malmö for a while before that. Lived in Copenhagen or Malmö for almost 5, 5 years, before moving back to my hometown. Fond(ue) memories from my time there though

My mother is from Switzerland the Italian part of Switzerland and she always made fondue for us. Both the cheese and the chocolate fondue, I never had the meat fondue. When I was a little and my mom would throw me a birthday party she would ask me what type of cake I’d like and I would always say I didn’t want cake. I wanted a chocolate fondue so she always made chocolate fondue for my birthday party and my little friends and that’s a really nice memory I have of my mom

Lived in Geneva for 10 years and now I live in Lausanne close by. I know the armures Restuarant which is good traditional fare (but almost everything cheesy is things generally eaten in winter). Any ways I hope you enjoyed yourself immensely.

Was given a fondue set in the 70's and I've been making my whanau this delicious meal for decades. We love everything about a fondue....raclette, garlic, kirsch, white wine and all the tasty morsels we coat in the melted cheese. And of course, the company of those sharing the meal! If you haven't had the chance to enjoy fondue, try it, I promise you won't be disappointed! Watching from Aotearoa New Zealand.
