I think the material or air that's being drawn up & in at the wrong angle? Put a longer 2" pipe in the middle of a shorter 4" pipe. recess 2" pipe back in 4" pipe. put a blower hooked to the 2" pipe & that increases CFM.& puts a vacuum out of the rear of the 4".

I saw a science program about the fountains at the Bellagio Casino; When they first used the fountains, the nozzles were intermittent, and it took them some time to figure out that the pressure was so great that when they shut a nozzle off, it would freeze shut and not work until it had thawed

Does this effect apply to both liquids and gases?

Does the pressure drop coupled with the increase in velocity reduce the temperature?
