The JR001G wasn't a match for the top players in the Recipro Saw market, but can the JR002G bring Makita to the top of the pile. Redemption time.

I purchased the Hikoki 2 months after you did a comparison with it against milwaukee dewalt and the LXT makita. That's how I fond this Channel. I still love it and seeing as the makita xgt version 2 is just a little better I'll stick with what I have.

Great review! I'm going to start referencing your videos for my tool deals. For the Metabo HPT/Hikoki to be old, it still faired well against the Makita. Early on in the testing I could see the Makita had a lot less vibration. Question now is the price! Thanks for your work! I'll start sending some views your way soon!

Love your reviews. All these tools look great, especially the latest Makita and the Hikoki. I have many Hikoki 18v tools and the 36v sidewinder, and as yet have not been able to justify buying the 36v recip or rear-handle saws, which were just on a ridiculous sale here in the US. But I get by with what I have, and still enjoy infrequently using my Makita 15A AVT recip and my Dewalt corded worm drive saws--two of the finest tools I own.

Great review. I've only got the old brushless 18V version and have been happy with it. It's been great for one handed branch cutting and mild steel pipe when making exhausts. This latest 40V version looks a weapon.👍

I’ve been waiting for this one across the pond! Great info as usual.

The new Makita looks like a winner with the easy blade change, less reason not to invest in a few different blades to suit materials and thicknesses ect of those materials.

I have the original XGT recip that came with the first six tool kit. I only use it instead of chainsaw around the garden and it is awesome. Better than the LXT it replaced.
It has the same quick blade replacement like the new version.
Also, any news on a XGT mower?

Nice review. And I love the look-through-the-wall-thingie sitting in the background.

Hikoki should come with lifetime warranty!

Killer review as usual, man.

Surprised at the rebar results, it seemed to take ages to cut through even on the lower speeds!

I’ve been tearing shit up with this beast. If you’re a solid object and you see me coming with the new Makita, you know you’re proper fucked.

Hi Tools I bought the 40v makita 125mm angle grinder and in the box was additional guard for when using a cut off wheel it clips over the grinding wheel guard so that the top of the cut off wheel is covered the part number is 199710-5. Thanks for your videos on the 40v system

My own green meanie just died today tearing up a hot tub :(
Really eyeing the new Makita 40v. Might start creeping into the line starting with 2nd gen sawzall. Thanks for the review!

Must get one of these beast sabre saws. Beautiful!

Another great review

The Metabo HPT/Hikoki has been on sale so many times for $99 in US and/or as a free tool that it makes it hard to justify the new Makita as I can outfit my crew with two or 3 of them for the same price as the Makita

I wonder if Makita will release a 40v subcompact version. I use the black 18v version all the time for work. Easier to operate one-handed.

Very good insights about different tools match with different consumables match with different materials, the best stuff are the stuff that work best for you in that particular situation, not necessarily the most expensive or the most popular stuff. Excellent video as always, thx!
