Floridian here, it usually takes way longer than a few minutes for snakes to shed, and it’s not really fluid, it’s just the eye caps turning whiteish blue and falling off, replacing them with new ones formed by the hardened blue liquid. Also they barrel see anything during that time, not just partially blind. Snake owners and breeders call the biggest sign of shedding “going into blue” or something like that, because of the way the snakes always end up having blue eye caps before shed. After, they have shiny beautiful scales and the big will to bite the shit out of u. 🥰

As a Snake owner, I can confirm this is true. The fluid over the snake's eyes is usually blue, and snake keepers call this, "Going into blue." It's one of the most prominent signs of a snake shedding along with cloudy skin. This video being posted now is actually convenient, because me snake is going into blue.
