Had this mouse about 18 months, still going strong, love it, very ergonomic.

the one thing i dont like about this mouse is that it says 'Rapid Fire' on the left mouse button, but there is no 'Rapid Fire' mode on the mouse.

Solid, solid review! It seems like everyone and their brother do review/unboxing vids these days & many of them are sh*t when it comes to product knowledge, camera work, etc. Really makes me appreciate someone who focuses the camera right up close, shows all angles & features of the product and knows what they're talking about ahead of time. Around @6:30 when you actually went into the programming software, ya had me, man. Subbed. Great work :)

Was one of the bindable shortcuts volume control? I've just ordered this (thanks to your top-notch review), and was just wondering if it had volume control capabilities, which would be fantastic.

I have this mouse, the screws on the side aren't for adjusting the width. The mouse itself is already fairly wide, and very comfortable for those with large hands.
I've had absolutely no issues with this mouse. As a matter of fact, this beats most Razers or other gaming mouse I've ever used. With the custom profiles there's a link to program feature so you can switch modes without ever having to open up the RAT TE program again, which is frickin' awesome.
I'm pretty rough on my stuff, hence the reason why I only buy the Motorola line of phones considering the RAZR M (one step below MAXX) endured multiple multi-story tumbles in to various conditions and worked until the hardware just plain wore out, this mouse is holding up nicely. Occasionally I'll get some lint or something on my mouse pad and it'll mess with the sensor, clean it off and good to go again.
If I ever break this one, I'll be buying another. My dad and I won't buy Razers after the last one he had quit working and the replacement one was dead within the same amount of time, e.g. a few months.

can you use this mouse for a long time without breaking? I went on Amazon and the reviews were pretty good for the mouse however there were like one/two reviews that were saying things like "mouse has tracking issus after one month and it breaks after 6 months.

how long and what does the warranty cover? I just bought one and ppl are saying theirs stopped working after a few days/weeks/months.

Laser became weak very quickly, losing it's horizontal movement, having to recalibrate with a q-tip, and the mouse wheel doesn't have a nice 'lock on' we'll call it, hard to scroll between weapons accurately.

The RAPIDFIRE text on the mouse is for show. Yeah.

I'll go on over to Razer, no idea why I purchased a MadCatz product, they were shitty when they made gamecube controllers, they still are now.

I am having some sensor issues with my RAT TE. Just the slightest dust particle in the sensor and it does not move at all. It's too sensitive! I never had such issues with roccat kone XTD.

I wonder what the switch quality is like... It looks pretty much like the R.A.T 7 (without the thumb scroll). The switches (left and right click) are known / were known to expire quickly (or just out of warranty, like mine...)

a good thing about that mouse is the weight, its very light so the damage to it when u throw it against the wall while raging isnt to big
