I was in the Hospital for 2 days unrelated to Covid and the care I received was horrible and shocking. There were replacement "so called nurses" and other staff due to many of the usual nurses were just too stressed out and needed a break. Who ever these replacements were told me our Healthcare System is in dire trouble. There will be another pandemic and we are not prepared to handle it.

By now those people who are still choosing not to get vaccinated even when they do not have underlying conditions that cause any concern, hospitals really should place them on lower priority for beds, even below covid non-related accidents or illnesses. They chose this route, and should agree to not being an extra liability for the medical facilities in these times.

Pandemics change things. They always have. Old assumptions are no longer appropriate. The "normal" envisioned and expected prepandemic cannot be re-established. When time runs out for a quick ending, as it has done in the US, the future is being built on unknowns. Old values and priorities need review. Expectations that defined the normal and dependable will inevitably fail. This is a time that requires serious attention to our situation, resources, duties. Those who think we will not encounter a slow trudge toward a new normal are fooling themselves and wasting time. We needed all hands on deck and it didn't happen. We own that failure, regardless of how disappointing it is.

Oh help me, I'm so scared! I am so frightened of covid I don't know what to do! How many masks should I wear?!? I am wearing three right now and that's just while I'm home alone! How many vaccinations will be enough for me to feel safe? I have had twelve but am still scared! My heart is constantly racing and my vision is blurry!
