DURAN DURAN WERE DOWN TO A TRIO IN 1993, THEY OWNED THE 80'S BUT IT WAS OVER AND AS JOHN TAYLOR THE BASSIST SAID, IT WAS LIKE DURAN DURAN WAS THE WORST POSSIBLE PLACE AS 1990 ROLLED AROUND. THE DOOR HAD SHUT ON THEM, 2 MEMBERS HAD LEFT AND THEIR LAST ALBUM WAS THEIR FIRST THAT FAILED TO CHART IN THE TOP 30 IN THE US AND UK. Kudos also to Warren Cuccurullo for playing on most of the follow up to the "Notorious" album, "Big Thing" (1988), Kudos to Chester Kamen, who played on two tracks as well. It is his solo on "I Don't Want Your Love, " Duran Duran's first single from "Big Thing, " & he also plays guitar on the second single, "All She Want Is." Warren played guitar again when Duran Duran toured for the "Big Thing" album.

Warren Cuccurullo & Sterling Campbell officially joined the band in the summer of 1989. Duran Duran went from a trio to a quintet for the first time since 1986, when Roger Taylor & Andy Taylor- no relation- quit Duran Duran. And, this was the first time that Nick Rhodes, John Taylor & Simon Le Bon would write music with new collaborators, not including John Barry who co-wrote "A View To A Kill" with the band. Duran Duran's first commercial failure derived from this with their "Liberty" album, which was over-produced according to Chris Kimsey, who co-produced the album. However, there are some good songs that were made such as "My Antarctica" & "Serious, " the latter becoming a club hit in 2006 when Ferry Corsten did his dance version of the song featuring Simon Le Bon's vocals. Le Bon re-did his vocals for this track singing, "Oh, woman you make me feel, like I'm on fire. Oh, woman you make it real, it's the only way for me" which is repeated throughout most of the song.

Sterling Campbell left after the album's release and the band became a quartet until they became a trio once again in 1997, when Duran Duran's co-founder, John Taylor, left the band. Eventually, Warren Cuccurullo was kicked out of Duran Duran in 2001 so that John, Andy & Roger Taylor could comeback for a reunion, which many fans, especially die-hard Duran Duran fan's had longed for & voila! The band was back to a quintet & back to the iteration that lasted between 1980-1986.

Andy Taylor left the band once again in 2006 but the other four members: John & Roger Taylor, Nick Rhodes & Simon Le Bon have been going strong together since the reunion. Nick Rhodes is the longest member of Duran Duran who has been there since 1978. He was the third member to join Duran Duran in its nascence quickly after John Taylor & Stephen Duffy created the band. Simon Le Bon has been with Duran Duran since the summer of 1980, which makes Nick & Simon the only two members who have never quit the band.

Andy Taylor & Warren Cuccurullo did reunite with Duran Duran to play on multiple tracks on Duran Duran's last album (mainly of cover songs) called "Danse Macabre" released in October 2023. Duran Duran is not on tour but are doing isolated shows & will play in the Northeast part of the United States in late October 2024.

This is a Legend of a Song and Band . Very Beginning of the 90's . The Drum Pattern is pretty insane . The Bass and Drums are strictly connected . Sounds and arragements very technic, England and Great Britain in general (all Ireland) are Incredible for contribution in Music . But I LOVE STATES where i was born . Happy to see your faces so happy ! The Guitar Solo has so much tension and emotion . The Sound...vocale harmonies at the End are a very recognizable personal masterpiece of Le Bon and friends . Most of The Wedding Album was recorded in Warren's home studio in London. There is an accoustic version of "Ordinary World" which the band recorded with a string arrangement, and that is also a moving version of the song. "Odinary World" has helped many people deal with loss and grief.
