The editing of that intro is sleek. My brain smarts from this great Roadster video.

Smart used in that way just means ache or hurt. It does make sense linguistically, but also sounds strange to say. We’d never speak English like that. 😊

4:30 not a typo. Smart means in this context " feel or cause a sharp stinging pain."

Many of the early models came with extra promotional items. The Signature 100s reservation holders were sent wooden crates with painted eggs and leather samples to help buyers select their Roadster options. Later Roadsters got shoeboxes full of hats, water bottles, shirts and other swag.

Smart means hurt. Comes from the original meaning, which meant sharp pain. When we use it to talk about being quick and intelligent, it is the same as saying, "That guy is really sharp". But as far as meaning something hurts, think back to Saturday morning cartoons when they would say after someone gets hit or smashed, "ooh, that smarts!"

There were and still are a few Tesla Roadsters down under in Australia and a strong group in Switzerland with many Roadsters. Overall nice tribute to the Tesla model that started the EV revolution

Gruber motors in phoenix also works on any out of warranty Tesla’s. Their specialty is the roadster of which they have the 3 container roadsters from China. They also work on the model S as well. They are endorsed by Tesla as well… just letting you know….

While it’s most commonly used to describe intelligence or stylishness, “smart” can also be used as a verb meaning to feel a sharp, stinging pain, often for a short duration. For example, if someone says “My hand smarts after touching the hot stove, ” they are referring to the sharp pain they feel. This usage is less common in everyday language but is still recognized in English.

Awesome video Dan! I am one of the those weirdos who saves all the paperwork on the cars I buy in hopes that someone in the future will enjoy looking at it. Thank you for sharing your Roadster memorabilia with us!

The grammar is correct. Smart def: causing a sharp stinging

My grandmother used to say “ i bet that smarts” when ever i cam in with a scuffed elbow or knee. The term ‘smart’ refers to ‘hurt’ in this case.

"Smart" is an old school colloquialism the way the brochure refers to it meaning your smile will be so big and long lasting that your cheeks will hurt from doing so.
