No I've never wondered, although that's a hellava lot of processing for any decent sounding mix. And how does "always" any process work with treating every project with only what it needs?
BTW that tape processor is intended and modeled on the Studer multi-track, *not* a 2-track mastering machine (with larger track widths).

I definitely use multiple comps and limiters. I like the sound of the Weiss limiters. However...saying you ALWAYS use something...IDTS. It makes you sound like you're full of BS, expecially in THIS industry. Don't say that...don't do that.

You need a good mix if you’re using all these processing to master. Thats a lot of processing for mastering in my honest opinion.

This looks like a mix bus chain up to soothe2 (EQ, comp) and master bus chain from the amek to the end (saturation clipping and limiting). I think that’s why people are saying it seems a bit much. Of course it all depends.

It almost seems as if having an EQ (potentially twice) is for massaging the signal in the case where LPEQ and soothe still aren’t quite enough, or when glueing hides a signal too much. Is that right? I’m still learning so I could be very wrong here lol

The Studer is awesome..a little CPU intensive but ..cool glue and BOOST to your mix

I love what you use, but curious to why the tape into the ssl since it's already better color to add with it alone? Then why the sooth because removing allot with it but then bring it back with the inflator??
