How to Change Language to English in League of Legends [Updated June 2023]

Learn How to Change your Language to English in LoL (League of Legends)!

In this video, I will show you how to switch the language in League of Legends to English. I'm also going over how to change your language to Any other language since the process is pretty much the same. This method will change everything including the text, in-game audio and the Riot Client language.

ja_JP: Japanese
ko_KR: Korean

Tip: in the shortcut properties, go to the general tab, tick Read-only, and apply. This is to avoid the shortcut from being automatically edited, which changes the target and ruins the shortcut.
You have to do the read only part after you change the "Target" text cause otherwise you'll be denied

I ve tried this method and worked perfectly. Funny thing is that I have to do it every time I close the game, because for some reason, it forgets the --locale=etc. This started happening today for no reason at all.

Thank you so much bro it was driving me crazy. Btw I found many guides like your's except that "Exit application" option. I think thats the magic part because I no matter how hard I try the next step (writing locale part) game reversed itself the its original language I had.
