5.3 / 4L80E Installed In The 64! First LS Swap!

This is my first LS Swap ever. It's a big cam 5.3 and a stock 4L80E.
in order to use a 4L80E with a 5.3 you have to use a adapter/ spacer for the flywheel.

I just bought a 5.3 and a 4l80e for my 61 ragtop and I was curious about how to deal with the transmission crossmember. Your idea for how to solve that was genius!

Just did this with a ls3 and 480le setup on my 64ss. I used the brp kit for the motor mounts and trans bracket but wasn’t to happy with the kit. Great job doing it by yourself it’s a pain with no help

Man appreciate you sharing. I just decided to start swapping my 64 impala. I put a 327 crate engine knowing I shoulda LS'd it from the get go. Never would have known about the tranny bracket if you wouldn't have mentioned it for the 4l80e. Thank you!

Love the build man, quick question what kind of fuel pump are you using for this swap, i have a vortex in my Impala i just don't know what fuel pump i can install in the tank so it can work with my engine

I used ebay adapters s u ock mounts.4 washers under ea.bolt to raise motor.
Ebay 302/2 pan.
Sit right on the cross member.
Order cast headers.
Trans is 4 spd.from yukon.
Took out my grill
Still out.
Motor trans together.stoke trans cross modified.
Wonder which harness to buy?
Advised to go high dollar?

But pan is still on the cross member.
Its in but?
67 malibu.

302 oil pan from china?
It's been a year since I touched it.
New Master/ front lines.
That was all.
I might cut the cross

Morning sir, im doing the same swap. Which oil pan did you use? Im having clearence issues. First pan was hitting cross member, 2nd pan no clearence for tie rods and pan 3 no bueno all around.

Please help! I did a 5.3/4l60 in an El Camino, and I keep getting TCC codes. Did you have any issues with this on your swap at all? How did you get through it? Its the only thing keeping me from driving this car and I can't figure out what the problem is! My next LS swap is on my 64 Biscayne 2 door post. 6.0/4L80e and it seems like I can follow your videos directly and get it done so thank you! And thanks for your help!

When you loosened up the mount on crossmember did u have to bang crossmember or anything out or
Longer bolts on crossmember mount anything else besides loosin up bolts and mount everything on engine first thanks
