This song is for my older brother who passed away 4 years ago.. we played this song at his funeral, first time I listened to it since then. Now I can sit and appreciate it instead of cry. Thank you One Republic.

I lost my dad to lung cancer which led to the brain three months ago. The pain tries to consume me everyday and makes me want to fall into a hole and break. But then there is those days where i feel happy dwelling on the great memories and pray that he is at peace. I dont know how to explain the feeling I cant control it. It follows me to school when I'm alone, at home or out and about. This song connects with how desperately I wanted to return home with him. I wanted him to laugh and annoy me again, be there everyday. He was always a fighter never gave up, so this was a shock. But I try to hold on with the bit of strength I have left. At age 12 its hard to grasp so young but I'm trying.

I have become obsessed with One Republic. The Fray and them are the only bands that I listen too, they are amazing. Both are the real deal and don't write about all the junk that people listen today (drugs, sex, etc.) I feel some artists who are true are under appreciated :/ whatever happened to good music?

this song hits the heart for husband was gone 7 months for basic and AIT he's in the army he purposed to me before he left and for two months we could only write each other letters. in that time he wrote my dad and asked for my hand in marriage and when he came home we got married. 7 days later after the wedding he got sent to korea for a year and i'd give anything for him to be home right now. we've been married 5 months now. i miss my soldier.... come home soon baby <3
