If you’re struggling to do enough damage to kill dancer I recommend getting the millwood greatbow and captain’s ashes in the ashes of ariandel dlc. you need 19 strength and 12 dex minimum to wield it, after you have the requirements you can purchase 30 millwood great arrows and then perform this glitch. This is just what I like to do when I pick knight class and are going for a strength build. hope this helps :)

After a few tries it worked, this was basicially the same as cheesing Aldrich, entering from the furthest point and jumping back, thanks for showing us the glitch

Just a tip, but dancer has like -26% dark resist. Use dark damage, I killed her in like 16 hits with a dark harald curved greatsword on a 40/40/40/40/40 build

Finally got the glitch down, thank you so much, works as of Dec 2023, p.s :- for ppl who're struggling trying to do this, make sure your frame rate is good otherwise the backstep would be delayed

For me I recommend using the weapon art for the bow and getting a ton of ashen estus flasks as this makes the fight a lot quicker.

The third try was the charm but I messed up 😅. Psa- Don’t use the dragon slayer bow it makes you move works as of July 27, 2024 and btw I haven’t been able to beat the dancer and it’s been 5 yrs since I got the game 5 different builds as well but now I can finally beat the game thank you

21/11/23 Xbox series X, I Didn't have enough arrows but i tried it anyway and it worked first try.
I personally don't like cheesing bosses because I know from DS1/2 i can usually handle the bosses (except Manus, i hate Manus i will cheese Manus every single playthrough because feck Manus).
So far this is the longest ive spent on any boss in DS3, you sir have saved my sanity.

Actually I think you don't need to quit out. I just tried the glitch everytime I died to her after the glitch didn't work, means after a normal try each, so I just walked back to her without restarting the game.
