Tory MPs threaten to rebel against government over leasehold reform

Conservative MPs are threatening to rebel over the government's new housing proposals.

In a letter to Chancellor Jeremy Hunt, more than 30 Tory MPs have stated their dissatisfaction with the current leasehold system and implored the government to scrap ground rent on leasehold properties.

Service Charges and how they are spent are the issue for Leaseholders . Trading Standards need to monitor and be the escalation point for this. If the Government cannot deliver real change then hopefully they will move aside and let Labour solve these issues.

She could easily take action against the freeholder. The freeholder here is in breach, she could take them to court, she would win, they would pay here court costs and have to carry out the necessary repairs to the building and the subsequent damage to the leaseholders property.

I think there shouldn't be a leasehold itself . It's a bullshit system. But all the old one there should be way that's leaseholders be able to buy the ownership. May the difference between what was paid and the price to buy the place entirely. Though issue will still be with who can't afford to buy entirely but something is better then nothing.
