Hey everyone. I just wanted to get in here and make one point Chris didn’t. I think it’s an important one. My daddy invented titanium and we patented it. Don’t even think you can get away with using it. -Douglas Fairbanks the III

Thanks for a great review Aizec. Nice to have your brother Chris’s opinion as well.

This was timed perfectly with the amazing TV show using the same name. Watching Shogun while holding the shogun enhances the experience.

In a sea of bland paddles, I love that BnB goes big and bold with marketing, graphics, paddle names, and ultimately great performance. Great review as always. MKBHD of the Pickleball world!

I think more video of you playing with these different paddles, demonstrating different shots, and including clips from live play would be very helpful for relative referencing - especially if the paddles lean more/less towards certain aspects of play (power, control, spin, resetting etc.).

Great reviews! Love the insights and hearing about the way that the tech is changing!

The 1st Titanium/Carbon face paddle was the T-1000 Titanium by Insum. A sub brand of AMA Sports which is a large OEM. The T-1000 Titanium is BJ Perseus Gen 2 with a titanium/carbon face. Plays great but not USAPA Approved at the time.

I love my Shogun first day I noticed a big difference in the feel of the paddle. Best paddle I’ve played with so far

With Aizec joining the review videos, does that mean Chris is now the cohost of the podcast and the paddle reviews?

Chris—. Great review. I must admit, the loose glue would likely drive me nuts. Hopefully their QC corrects this. As always, your honest reviews are the reason I watch your show.

Great review! It was nice hearing your brother's thoughts as well. He might give you some competition in the review game! 😆

Not related to the main topic but noticing the Apollo stands out nicely on that shelf

I never felt Filth was a power paddle, i feel its control, and the user gives it its power. I love the filth, great all rounder, and if Shogun has a bit more power n pop at transition line that would be great. The muted feeling is definitely there on the Filth, so much so at times i wonder if my paddle died at times.

I enjoyed Aizec and your paddle review of the Shogun. I have been enjoying playing with my Shogun for several weeks. I have great touch and control on my dinks and drops. Also, I have enough power on my drives and overheads. So far, I have not heard any rattling coming from my Shogun. Hopefully, I will not hear any rattling anytime soon. Thank you, Chris and Aizec.

Looking closing at both the SHOGUN and now the NEXUS PRO STAR. Like the idea of foam injected into the cells. BnB has a much better warranty and return policy than NEXUS.
I listened when you said hold off on new paddles for a couple months. Hoping TI is making it's way into the norm.

I had been playing with Ben Johns gen2 and then switched to this a while ago. Similar paddles. Ben Johns has better handle, doesn't rattle, and has slightly better sweet spot. Shogun is cheaper, slightly more pop, still great control, better spin/surface longevity. Both nice, my two favorites out of everything I've played.

There was Insum also with their Titanium. Can you review the Insum T700 Fast pro?
