If you mix the vinegar and baking soda together, they neutralize themselves. Use each separately.

If these ever could self clean or not get so dirty it would be a dream come true, it’s the one thing I dislike about air fryers. They get so incredibly dirty which wouldn’t be so bad if they weren’t so tough to clean (positioning of components and such). Your method looks to work well so I’ll try that when needed.

Vinegar + baking soda = salt + water + CO2. You make foamy water with some salt.

You then added dish soap. You made soapy water and a waste of resources.

Vinegar and baking soda creates salt water, which is much weaker than just using vinegar

If you wipe out everytime after use, while still warm and power disconnected, it'll never get to that state

You should try vim multipurpose cleaner. It gets all the gunk off

I wipe mine down with a clean damp cloth after each greasy or steamy cook session. Might sound like a pain because it’s like doing dishes after cooking. BUT it never gets that build up. So much easier and worth the 10 seconds of wipe down.

Subscribed and liked. I use cheap grain alcohol from the liquor store. It cleans the big stuff off then evaporates quickly leaving no after taste or odor. No, I don't drink any of it, lol!!

Just tried this on my Ninja Foodi Grill but it didn’t work :(

I used 1/2 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup white vinegar 5% acidity, and 1 tbsp dish soap. I mixed them up (although I have to admit I’m not sure if the baking soda dissolved 100%), and applied it everywhere and left it for 30 minutes. I used a scrub but a lot of the gunk didn’t come off.

Did I do something wrong?

Vinegar and baking soda makes window cleaner. You also forgot to take off the heat shield to clean to condenser coils

That’s a very shallow pan, no wonder the upper portion got/gets so dirty. I don’t have that issue on mine as the tray is deep and the food sits low and away from the heating fan area
