What about Equitable's Market Stabilizer Option II? It is an indexed variable universal life insurance policy with index options that use 10, 15, or 20% buffers with 20-28% caps due to the downside exposure from shorting a put in order to generate a larger options budget.

Just wondering, if a person is contributing monthly, kinda doing dollar cost averaging in a variable UL
Would it be safe to say that a person maybe loosing on paper but, for long term investment, when you see growth they earn more ? Is it like buying something on discount and selling regualr price?🤔

Aren’t current IUL rates Capped at 9% ? Subtract all the fees the account is charged. You’ll end up with 5-6% rate. & that’s with hoping the market is performing at a 9+% rate… and by stating ‘properly funded’ seems like you’re hoping people have a lump sum down payment to put into these accounts the first couple years… the average middle class family is currently living paycheck to paycheck…
