In this video I'll show you how to loosen and tighten a Nissan accessory drive belt tensioner. The particular belt tensioner shown in the video is used on a myriad of Nissans over the coarse of many years. I don't have a list of all the years and models that this tensioner is used on. However, if your tensioner looks like the one shown in this video then this video will probably be of help to you. WARNING! I am extremely grateful for this video. I was trying to change the belt on my 2016 isuzu kb300lx and couldn't understand why the pulley wasn't getting loose after I released the bolt. It never cross my mind to release the nut on the pulley. Thanks a million!

Love it! great video sir. Just one question, does this technique of tightening and loosening apply with the other drive belts on this particular nissan youre working on? like on the alternator belt, power steering belt, and AC compressor belt, does this method apply to all of those belts?

Hey I was wondering if I still had to loosen the hold-down nut if I only want to tighten the tensioner?

Well mine was really loose, but where on earth do you find a repair manual for belt deflection, have a 1997 nissan datsan (near Identical to the above)

Thanks for this video. I did all that and the belt was fine after install. This morning it is squealing and the belt heats up. Any suggestions? It's a 1992 Nissan hardbody

What do you call that pulley and or what's a part number I can't find it anywhere on the parts website went to O'Reillys waited for it to come in and bam wrong size. But they claim that is they only one they have for my truck
