I was milking my goats in my barn in western WA, shivering in my jacket and pressing my ear against the warm side of my ol' momma goat. Up among the dusty cobwebs was this little golfball-sized birdie, and oddly, I became fond of Wrennie, a bit of amusing company. A nice time in my life.

I am hard of hearing and unable to hear the entire song on the wild. This audio/ video made my day! Thank you so much! I got to hear what my kids can hear.

@it's dauntless: Please be more mindful of your comments. While I must agree--she's fat--I know this bird personally and she's struggled with her weight for years. She's tried the grub diet, the all-mite diet, even the seed diet. Inevitably, she drops a few grams for a week or two, but then she's right back up to her old weight. And it's not like she doesn't exercise. She can run a hundred times her body length in less than two seconds, and still she looks like this!

I've had to tell her she's never going to fit into that dress she wore at her fledging, but she's determined.

Got one in my yard right now finally got a good look at it. The song is amazing and mesmerizing from such a small, cute bird. I live in central Indiana and its late July.
