Behind his contrived and carefully managed posturing of calm objectivity, he none the less glosses over the fact that mainstream media has mostly been in the business of:
#1. Expertly lying by omission or taking at face value the words of a banker a politician or a general,
#2. Flat out telling falsehoods by merely being incompetent in any scientific or technical field (green growth comes to mind)

and finally;
#3 ...the most insidious of all; misleading without telling a single lie -- because of #1 and #2.

Yes fake news by crackpots have been and are going to be very dangerous in the future; but they arose because the establishment insisted on pretending to an innocence they should not have pretended to, and they veiled it with euphemisms and moral grandstanding.
So the dumbed down populace opted to get out of the frying pan and into the fire...
but hey .... it's nobody's fault right ? That's the beauty of the system.
