I have a long-haired chi who I bathe in the sink too (or even just hold him with his head over my shoulder and shower with him!). I love your routine, I'll look for a tap extension like that. Have you thought about adding a non-slip pad to the sink so they feel more stable? You can use those non-slip pads people buy in a roll for their kitchen.
