I used to live in York. It's basically one giant graveyard. Any church you see with a raised churchyard is due to bodies being buried up to 3 deep. I love it!

I love these mini tours you give us! These are places I'll likely never get to see in person, so its cool to get some video and background on them!

You’ve taught me so much about my city! I’ll be careful next time I visit the Starr and my favourite antique store. It’s funny when we were renovating our current house from 1900 we took out the walls in the bathroom and found the creepiest old kids wallpaper. A few nights later my partner woke up in the middle of the night a saw a little boy walking up the stairs then he disappeared into the bathroom.

A great video. I live in York and it was interesting to see you included the Minster. I think the Minster authorities keeps quiet what goes on in there. I once met someone who spent time working for Minster night time security and the things he told me were just fascinating. The things I remember was voices being picked up on their security recordings, the heavy entrance collection box being constantly moved and a dark negative presence who apparently they had to greet to placate on a night. Not exactly what you expect to find in a "House of God". None of this comes up in a Google search so they obviously want to keep it all quiet.

I live 40 mins away from York and have been so many times and it still freaks me out. The history is fascinating, it’s very beautiful and has a very eerie feel, especially around Christmas time/winter nights, etc. To anyone who’s never been, I’d 100% recommend going, as this isn’t somewhere you should miss!

A lot of tragedy with children which is very sad! The young girl who fell down the stairs, who was in charge of the keys, the orphanage and the young girl who contracted the plague really pull at the heart strings... 😢
GREAT tour of the town! LOVED it!

I absolutely love this video. All the poor children that died, and the poor dog that was bricked up, is terrible! Some really horrid things were done in York, it seems. Thanks so much! I think the skeletons might creep me out a little too much.

Really good video Amy I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am from York as are generations of my family but sadly I live 15 miles South of the city as it has become way to expensive to live there now. I worked as a doorman at the Golden Fleece in 1998 / 1999 and it's an interesting place to say the least. I am not ashamed to admit that I have experienced some strange things in York that would be regarded as 'supernatural' but not at any of the dwellings in your video.
Keep up the good work Amy!

Great to see you in the UK. Lots of very old places here. So much history that has left its mark on these buildings and locations.
One place that might be of interest to you is Borley Rectory if you haven't already been there and I haven't seen that vid yet.
I recall seeing a documentary about it when I was a kid. My mum had recorded it for us to watch one afternoon. It was really sunny so she closed the curtains and we sat and watched it. One particular bit gave us the wiggins. The paranormal team set up equipment in one of the rooms which recorded any light or sound over night. The result was pin pricks of light, footsteps, an audible sigh then the sound of a latch being worked on the entrance door. There was nobody in there overnight and there wasn't a latch on that door that would have made that sound. Goose bump city.
Stay spooky Amy!
