Ah man I remember watching this interview right after the reveal. I was dreading at the thought of having to wait so long before it would get released, or even a release date, but here we are now, at almost 5 days until launch! Time flies I tell you...

After 6 years, we get God of War, now in Norse mythology... And no hack n' slash! Woohoo!
Now... don't get me wrong. I F*CKING LOVE the GoW series! But this change was needed! I'm glad they're going for a more immersive, more emotional and more "human" side of Kratos, as now is older, but with a different view of the world ( cuz is in Norse mythology duh)

6 games of pure carnage and madness, to a new adventure of Kratos, looking to redeeming himself after many years of endless nightmares, sending up countless corpses on the Underworld and spilling enough of the Gods' blood enough to cover an entire ocean... I think it was time for him to take a break xD

Gonna miss TC Carson as Kratos. New guy is fine, but angry Kratos is still the best Kratos. TC was just too good.

My reactions are very mixed. The setting, visuals and new takes are cool, but I expected that, what I really don't like and what boggles my mind is the new camera angle.

With a series that is all about epicness, the carnage, scale and frankly, violence, the camera doesn't afford for any of that. All it does is limit the character and limit the view. The battles can only go smaller and less scale with a decision such as this and I don't get it at all. It's the first look, but I absolutely hate it and I don't see that changing. Far too many Last of Us influences here and as much as I like Naughty Dog, Sony Santa Monica is every bit the developer they are on a technical scale, mimicking them and limiting what made the franchise great in the first place is a piss poor decision that I hope Barlog rectifies. The new combat did absolutely nothing for me as a fan and this announcement is bitter sweet.

Chasing The Last of Us here is just a bad decision for this franchise. It's one of the greatest selling IP's in PS history because of what it is, not something else.
