i cannot believe it was that simple! i was literally trying to open it with leather gloves and it didnt budge, but the spoon worked better than i thought it would! for anyone who sees this comment and is struggling with the spoon on the lid, move it around in the crease until you find a slightly deeper area in the lid. then just act like youre pulling out a nail with a hammer or acting like your using something curved to lift up a rock, then it should work

omg, I was so skeptical, and then I tried it, and 2 seconds later I heard a sound escape from the jar and voilà! 10 people in the house couldnt open my jar of minced garlic... this did the trick effortlessly. thank yoy.
