Avianca Business Class Flight Review | Bogotá, Colombia to Barcelona Spain

Ride along in business class on Avianca's Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner as we fly from Bogotá, Colombia to Barcelona Spain. For someone used to traveling international business class, Avianca may not offer the typical experience, but we had a good night's sleep and arrived safely - what more could you really ask for?

I went out with a Colombian woman for just over a year. Her mum one day asked her if we’d ever had an argument, and she told her that we had only ever argued once whilst using the Avianca website. Her whole family fell around laughing, because apparently everybody fights whilst using the Avianca website 😂😂😂😂

I explained to everyone that in Britain this isn’t the case. In Britain, all couples have their first fight whilst walking around IKEA.

Joking aside, thank you for the video. I’m travelling to Chile via Bogotá, and it’s about £400 less to use Avianca than using KLM. And the flights are shorter. It’s correct what you say, that the space is the important thing. Let’s face it, we can buy great food and champagne anywhere that we want much more cheaply.

Great review. We are also regular business class travelers. I appreciate all of the detail you provided. I just booked a flight from La Paz, Bolivia to Madrid. Sounds like we're going to get the same type of service. Nothing to write home about, but the price was right and the timing of the flights (only one stop in Bogota). I'll come back after our flight next week and post an update.

YES!!! Space matters but I cannot afford $5K business class on Delta. I got an Avianca business class seat for $2500 from LAX to Chile. According to their press release everything came back to pre-COIVD levels. I don't drink, don't need towels, socks, etc and I can bring my own food but I cannot fly in those economy seats. If I have too, I buy two economy seats. Thanks for your vid!!!

Your review is great insight. I am currently planning my flight from South America back to Europe and Aviancas business class for some reason now is about 2x cheaper than other airlines. Not totally sure but seems like it is "properly" priced for the service you get on board

And your video is really helpful to show that the new Avianca can’t even provide hot towels, print menus or pre flight drinks. They new managment is beyond cheap and we customers who don’t pay little for the fees don’t even deserve that.. thank you New Avianca to show us little respect as custumers that we don’t even deserve a human living person in your call center. The old excuse of “because of covid” doesn’t add anymore.

Other than the seat this is not business class. In and out of Colombia to or from Europe either take business class in one of the European airlines or if that is cost prohibitive their PE offerings

Avianca is a great airline if you did not know Avianca had a difficult time during the pandemic they have provided great service to me, all of the things that you said weren't provided in your flight Avianca has worked very hard during the past few years to provide for it's passengers I think you should give it another chance because the service has changed to a 7 star airline.

I have always loved Avianca since it is Colombia’s flag courier for more than 102 years. That said, it is REALLY BAD what they been doing lately with the name brand. Of course it is no own by Colombians anymore and whoever owns it doesn’t give a flying BURRITO about good service. They dare not to even have a HUMAN to attend the customer service. I bet what they want is to bury this company for good😢. Shame of you, I hope some Colombian investors read all the bad comments from people and buy this airline back to rescue 🛟 it. Shame of what you are doing to the crew, the airline in general and to the 102 year legacy.
