100% agree….I live a half hour from downtown and I haven’t been there in 3 years. Too scary!

As a person who Lives in Tacoma and Delivers in Seattle I 100% agree.
Both Cities are filled with violent homeless people who are trying to survive by ANY means. Even if it costs you your life.

This should surprise no one. Legalize most drugs and allow homeless to camp anywhere they want.

Tacoma is a city where I have seen children in homeless camps. 8th and Yakima & the homeless camp off 38th by the Tacoma mall, its almost hopeless.

I went to the Art Institute and lived in the Lenora. Those were the times, there were hundreds of kids living right by the school. It was very safe even in the "bad" areas. There were a few car break-ins but I never heard of a single student getting hurt or assaulted in the years I was there.

But wait. It aint all bad. We have the highest homeless population of any metropolitan city, we have more violent crime committed by a stranger than most. We have fewer police officers than a city half our size. We have a governor that doesn't respond to the population's requests. Seattle has more shooting per year than the entire country of Ukraine. Oh and don't forget our taxes are second to only CA. How can a city that you send your child to college in, where they get shot because of the past injustices of other social groups, not be one of the most safe cities in America. But while you are visiting your child's grave you can take notice of all the homeless camps and shelters surrounding the cemetery. You can get emotional solace from one of the fentanyl addicts living in the nearby camps. They can be very supportive.

I lived in Seattle for 25 years. The HORRIBLE weather made me move. The recent uptick in crime, the garbage everywhere, homeless, and filth, and boarded up businesses only solidify my HAPPINESS that I left.
