New from Freejump: the Voronoi cap! The exterior of the Voronoi is made of carbon fiber. Carbon fiber is a high-tech material. Thanks to its layered structure of interwoven fibers, the outer shell of carbon fiber offers exceptional impact resistance while being incredibly light (weight of the Voronoi helmet with low temporary protection: +/-650gr). The outer shell of the Voronoi perfectly combines lightness and strength for better protection of the skull and temple.
The inner shell of the Voronoi is made of EPS, one of the most absorbent on the market. A rib reinforces the structure and provides above-average crush resistance. Freejump took inspiration from bicycle and ski helmet technology by integrating a polycarbonate plate directly on top of the EPS. This in-molding technology of EPS with polycarbonate, combined with the carbon fiber outer shell, provides exceptional impact resistance thanks to this 3-layer construction.
Sleep protection reduces the risk of concussion of the most vulnerable part of the skull, the temporal region. The Voronoi helmet is the only helmet that takes the temporal region into account.
Nieuw van Freejump: de Voronoï cap! De buitenkant van de Voronoï is gemaakt van koolstofvezel. Koolstofvezel is een hightech materiaal. Dankzij de gelaagde structuur van verweven vezels biedt de buitenschaal van koolstofvezel een uitzonderlijke schokbestendigheid en is tegelijkertijd ongelooflijk licht (gewicht van de Voronoï-helm met lage tijdelijke bescherming: +/-650gr). De buitenschaal van de Voronoï combineert op perfecte wijze lichtheid en sterkte voor een betere bescherming van de schedel en slaap.
De binnenschaal van de Voronoï is gemaakt van EPS, een van de meest absorberende op de markt. Een rib verstevigt de structuur en zorgt voor een bovenmaatse kreukelweerstand. Freejump heeft zich laten inspireren door de technologie van fiets- en skihelmen door een polycarbonaatplaat direct bovenop het EPS te integreren. Deze in-molding technologie van EPS met polycarbonaat, gecombineerd met de koolstofvezel buitenschaal, biedt een uitzonderlijke schokbestendigheid dankzij deze 3-laags constructie.
De bescherming van de slaap verkleint het risico op een hersenschudding van het meest kwetsbare deel van de schedel, het slaapgebied. De Voronoï-helm is de enige helm die rekening houdt met de slaapstreek.
