At this point, we need to stop calling it the pro- life movement, because saving lives is obviously not the priority.

If a woman does not believe in an abortion… Don’t get one. It’s that simple. 🙄

Pay close attention to what Joy said. It's become exceedingly clear this isn't actually about babies. This is about men attempting to regain control over women.

Guess what. Your neighbors pregnancy and decisions about her pregnancy are NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. THIS IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. STOP TELLING WOMEN WHAT THEY CAN DO WITH THEIR BODIES. NO one is worried about the man who got her pregnant. No recourse, no serious discussion of HIS responsibilities or obligations. All on the woman. Seriously screwed up thinking. The war on women is real.

When I was a practicing RN, I worked on a gynecology unit. Ectopic pregnancy was a medical emergency. The only way to stabilize is to remove the tube and embryo. Women were admitted and sent directly to the OR. These judges have got to be held accountable for allowing their outdated perspectives on women and gender to dictate how they interpret the law.

I'll stand with Whoppi all day on this issue. I don't know why people don't get that they don't get to decide what other people do. I don't tell other people what to do with their lives because it's not my business

What world are we living in when a woman is BANNED from getting emergency medical care??!?

I understand what Alyssa is trying to say, but what is the point of considering viability outside of body, when an infant/ baby can't survive without a caretaker.... in those situations is the state then planing to raise all those abandoned babies?

Whoopie is so right! I have personally seen this in action and it will always haunt me.
I think that if this continues men who get a woman pregnant by rape or incest should have to have vasectomies, how about that!?

I want to applaud Sunny for coming to the realization that no matter your own personal beliefs on abortion you should not impose those on everybody else and their health, life and happiness.

I also want to give a shout-out to Mama Doctor Jones who boiled this whole thing down to bodily autonomy and made a really interesting argument: You can not force a person to give an organ or blood to their child even if that child might then die as a consequence - it is not ethical to make people use their body to keep someone else alive.
So why should then only a fetus have the right to use someone else's body without consent.

Stabilize? How on earth can a doctor stabilize a mother who’s bleeding internally? Where is the common sense?? These politicians and judges are out of their minds!

This definitely is a power play. Our women and children deserve better.

Wonder if Greg Abbott's mother or daughter was in the hospital in that position, would he break his own law and do everything to have her live.

Government needs to butt out of people's reproductive health care! That is a private matter between an individual, their doctor, and their God. Plus, if a fetus cannot survive without being attached to a womb, then it is not a baby.

No one should ever have the right to know the health issues of another person beyond the person and their physician. Period.

How would a doctor stabilize an ectopic pregnancy to keep a woman from dying? I would love the law makers in Texas to explain that to me.🤔😲
They have set back life in the US ten steps backwards. What a stress ❗️ 😩

Tell me what rights a fetus is able to exercise in or out of the womb. Can it vote? Can it pay taxes? Can it protest? Can it carry arms?

The whole viability thing is such a joke. Especially when the life and wellbeing of the woman is never in consideration

I've said many times that I am afraid of the mental implications of this. How cruel can you be to force a woman to birth a baby that she wanted but was not going to live? You're telling me that a woman is not going to lose their mind after that?

Thank God I’m NOT a woman. I can’t imagine the government telling me what I can do with my body and that if I get pregnant, even by rape, that the life I carry comes before my own — even if it dies inside of me or is deformed, I still have to carry it. That’s crazy! I’m a Christian but even as a kid I didn’t believe in everything that my family believed. I’m grown. I get to decide what’s best for me. Others are free to have their opinions but in America their opinions are just that — theirs, not mine and not the law.
