How to Create UI Design with Neuomorphism Style in Adobe Illustrator 2021 PART 2

Neuomorphism was born from the combination of skeuomorphism and flat design. So as to produce a 3D design, textured, but still soft and simple. Such output can be produced with the right blend of shapes, gradients, background colors, highlights, and shadow play. At first glance, you may think that you need a 3D rendering application. But actually you only need a standard design application that you usually use like Adobe Illustrator with a little magic touch in its creation.

It's interesting to note that while skeuomorphism in interface design was popularized during the multimedia era (early 1990's), it was soon after that Neuomorphism also appeared (mid 1990's) while so-called "flat" design in the modern interpretation came much later. Flat design echoes the change in aesthetics in Industrial Design around the same time, going from what we'd consider more "designed" and complicated design languages to the modern "clean" design aesthetic that emphasizes execution and materials (not coincidentally again popularized by apple). So I'd argue that Neuomorphism probably predates "flat design" only insomuch as we're talking design trends.
