“In focus” nothing that isn’t on the focal plane (which is infinitely thin) is in focus.

DOF refers to the area that will “appear” to be in focus at a given reproduction ratio at a given viewing distance. This is particularly important with digital photography where you don’t have to have a dark room to crop a photograph. Something that the photographer’s vision required to be sharp is suddenly out of focus because the photograph was cropped. I have a Linhof camera that has multiple DOF tables for different enlargement sizes.

Very good. Why? Because lots of valuable facts, well explained, no fluff and bull. The latter is what destroys so many videos that are otherwise good. There is one guy who has decent content but does this thing where he says "oh yeah" often and I can't watch because it's so obnoxious. A little humour is cool but enough is enough.
