This is the line that caught me off guard. It reminded me of how I would always say that I do not dress up with style and become conscious of how I look. Thankfully, I have friends who would cheer me and tell me that I look good.
And I just want everyone to know that we are all uniquely beautiful and those are found at the depths of our hearts.

Thank you for this additional information about Confucuis. I've known Confucius since I was in grade 7 because I admire his golden rule. He is known as a teacher who gives the message of knowledge, benevolence, loyalty, and virtue, which were the main guiding philosophy of China for thousands of years.

Confucius is one of the greatest philosophers. His sayings and wisdom may be old but they are still relevant in the modern world. "The higher type of man is one who acts before he speaks, and professes only what he practices", this saying from Confucius is one of my favorite because it is still true to this day. (OBTEC 1-15)

One saying from Confucius live in my heart, " Do not impose to others what you yourself do not desire". I was bullied for my skin color, and it never felt good. My self esteem lowered. I had insecurities, even planned to change what I was born into. They changed my view of myself gradually as I face adolescence. I have read many testimonies how bullying affected the way they think and interact with others, that the perpetrators were once the victims. Upon reading them, I encountered words that served as my first stepping stone to acceptance and forgiveness, "...the cycle ends in me." these words hit me hard, it made me realize, that whatever happened to me would never be the fault of those I will meet in future. The cycle of pain, isolation, and lose of hope would end in me. I would never do to others what I never desired to experience in my life. (Jusain 1-11)

This isn't the first time I've come across the Analects of Confucius; we studied them in Senior High School. The value and saying it suggests greatly motivates me, particularly his golden rule "Do not impose on others what you do not desire for yourself." Before doing something to others, I must first consider what I might think and feel if I were the one who experienced it.

"The wise man will be slow to speak, but quick to act." This line stuck to me after watching the video. I realized how I lacked action in almost everything I told myself I will act to.
