I highly recommend visiting Death Valley in the winter. The weather is pleasant, in the 60s, so you can explore to your hearts content. There's a chance of wild flowers and water in the basins making beautiful reflections of the mountains. It's one of the most beautiful places I've ever been

If your car is overheating turn your heat on. I went there in September of 2001 with a car that was under 2 months old. I had my air conditioner blasting and was enjoying the views when my car started beeping because the temperature was approaching the red line. As I was sitting on the side of the road with my hood open, a person driving by told me the little secret about the Heat. Well I wasn't so cool anymore and the park had humbled me, but I got through it without any other isusues beyond sweating

I have lived my entire life in the desert. I know most people aren't used to 120+ temps and won't fair well. I have lived some of my life in Mojave county. Rest around Phoenix and I find it bewildering that in the summer how many people do not keep extra jugs of water in their cars. Me and my entire family carry at least 2 gallons. Hot water is better than no water. You just never know when your going to need it. Don't even get me started on unprepared people who hike the mountains around Phoenix. Now people have to pay for the rescue. Remember, ALWAYS, ALWAYS BE PREPARED...And please don't leave your animals or children in your cars when temps are 90 +! We see this all the time. Whats worse is they have windows rolled up🤬

I'll never forget the feeling when I stepped out of our SUV for the first time in Death Valley. The incredible silence, the heat, and the breathtaking views are unforgettable.

I live in Vegas and have been to Death Valley and other places in the desert here and also lived in Tucson. If you want to see Death Valley take extra water. If you think you packed enough take more. It can’t hurt. Especially if you are from back East and are not acclimatized to dry heat. And do not say, well it’s a dry heat, the sun is just different and more intense. You won’t sweat but you’ll get dehydrated quickly. Plus the sun reflects off the sand. Also, make sure your gas tank is full. Might as well top it in the last town you come through. I would also suggested maybe not visiting in the height of summer. Now, there is a great date farm that you can pick your own dates and walk around and have a picnic at. They sell date bread and date shakes and I recommend stopping. Even if you don’t like dates it’s worth it to stop because they have bathrooms, drinks and you can walk around. I am only saying these because the German family broke my heart and we see a lot of tourists who just aren’t prepared for the extreme conditions.

They don't call it death valley for its mild temperature and flourishing plant and animal life!

I love Death Valley. We went in early in the morning and by 10 am it was reading 110 degrees. The first thing you notice is the quiet. There are no birds or animals anywhere making any kind of noise. It’s eerie and beautiful but make no mistake, it will kill you if you’re not ready for it.

One day I clicked on that "other channel" and found YOU were among the missing! I knew you wouldn't abandon your loyal followers, so I put your name in the search bar every day until I discovered your new channel. Unsubscribed to the other as it just isn't the same without you. Hell, my cat even missed you. I say hello to her at the end of every video. The info about tunnels and giants in this one was absolutely fascinating; I had never heard about it before. I hope your followers are all able to find you as I did, and your audience continues to grow. No one covers these stories like you do!
