For the last 2 years my daily driver is a Felicita Arc. It's well built, the battery lasts for 6 months

Greater Goods scale, I love it! I bought it for coffee but also use it for everything.

Yeah, it's nice to have, but donno man, price is still crazy. The thing is that it's a really nice product, but it doesn't really help making better coffee.

For espresso i use a scale advertised for jewels (similar to Weightman), price starts at 3$, 0.1g acc, very accurate, instant response, no timer (no problem), feels kinda flimsy but i have this one for a few years now.
For PO, the square one from the left at 1:53, does the job, it was 15$, also a few years old (though not instant response = not great for espresso, but good enough for PO).

The feeling of not caring if it gets broken, lost or whatever, is greater (*for me) than using an expensive much nicer product, but with the anxiety of braking it, losing or whatever.

Also saying Acaia Lunar buyers ends up loving them is kinda dabatable (i'm sure some do), but at that exorbitant price comes ego investing, you won't hear many saying "that was expensive af, i don't know what i was thinking".

How does this compare with the Varia Aku?

Would be great if brew ratio became a standard on all coffee scales screens. IMO flow rate is less useful for most people on screen vs how much to pour per pulse or tracking the target ratio for spro.

those tiny USB C plugs are brilliant and super cheap i bought a bag with 50 for the equivalent of 5USD. what we really need in the scale game is physical buttons touch and things that can make water droplets is about 600% annoying at exactly the worst times.

Ever tried Felicita Arc? Very nice, build is comparable to Acaia Lunar. Also waterproof. The scale is a bit bigger, so it comfortable fits 2 cups. I love it for my espresso setup, and is still a bluetooth scale.

How about a video about gooseneck kettles examining quality of build, durability and customer service? My Fellow Stagg EKG base broke after two months and Fellow warranty service response has been glacially slow. I would never buy it again

Hey! Is there a way to turn off the beeping sounds? They feel kind of cheap to me.

The case for the lunar costs more than regular people’s coffee setups lol!

Got the scale and pressure sensor which I installed in BDB with Slayer modification. $200 investment for these toys. Using an accurate scale has helped get more consistent shots. Bluetooth and pressure sensor are really a bit overkill tech since the BDB has a perfectly good pressure indicator and timer.
As noted, the software application is good but has a few bugs with connectivity.
