I redistribute some of the notes between the hands in the 2 manual variations and this new approach will soon be available from a music publisher publisher in the UK.

In this recording I used the 4th harmonic pedal in resonance position only. The harmonic pedal was invented by Denis de La Rochefordière.

What can one say? This is Bach. Perfect. Here you can hear the big advantage of piano over harpsichord: the possibility of stressing particular notes by playing them louder.

This is my favorite recording of this piece. So lively, articulated and perfectly voiced!

It alway look like you're tickling your piano, looks so absolutely effortless

Notice that the pianist doesn’t do the cross over in bars 13-14, instead just taking the notes with the left hand. I’ve always stumbled on this passage and tried it his way. It’s so much easier! I haven’t observed anyone else ever do this.

I like the way you can follow the sheet music through this majestic and wonderful composition, thank you Paul Barton.

I usually prefer baroque music played on original instruments, but I really like also good interpretations though without this philological element; and it is one of them: I think you use a great and clear phrasing. Very good execution, in my opinion! :D

EXCELLENT METER, RHYTHMICALLY ACCURATE, GREAT FEEL... MOST CLASSICAL PIANISTS DON'T SEEM TO REALLY EVER MAKE THE MUSIC GROOVE ALMOST AS IF THERE'S NO PULSE SORT OF ARHYTHMIC IN A WAY

THIS WAS REFRESHING AND WELL PLAYED

! I've heard this at a movie. The title is, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, I guess...

This is the best version I have ever heard!!! It truly fits what Bach would have composed to help someone with insomnia rather than the fast and loud staccato versions that would keep them awake ;-)

Bravo! Perfect Glenn Gould style of a Baroque piece.

Really amazing! I (try to) play this piece but it doesn’t come close to this performance. How do you play the part without crossing the hands?!

Your playing inspired me to buy a proper piano and re kindle my love for the hobby.

I don't suppose you've considered doing Dr Gradus? Debussy? I'm learning it at the moment after watching your video on Clair De Lune.

Either way, keep up the good work! You're fantastic and a joy to listen/watch.
