When I went to India with work we had a half day seminar on what we can and cant eat. What we can and cant drink.

We were pretty much told to stay away from all street foods and drinks, only eat in selected restaurants. Only drink water from sealed bottles provided by the company.

It was a good thing the company paid for everything

In mexico and SoCal we call those "raspados". Basically the exact same thing. In Hawaii they have something similar but will also place ice cream or sweet beans as the bottom.
