Any other president would have made sure that Mr. Brennan got to keep his security clearance when he retired. The man is a treasure house of knowledge and "trade craft". He sees around the corners that the GOP refuse to acknowledge.
Hopefully, when the whole Trump boondoggle is over, he can get his security clearance back.

It's my impression that Don has had a Putin style of thinking about the world for decades. I bet you he wanted out of NATO 20 years ago. Why? Because any unity between governments also meant unity with international law. And billionaires want countries, laws, and regulations out of their way. They have better things to do.
