Creed - One Step at a Time: Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) and Adonis (Michael B. Jordan) climb to the top of the stairs at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

FILM DESCRIPTION:
Adonis Johnson (Michael B. Jordan) never knew his famous father, boxing champion Apollo Creed, who died before Adonis was born. However, boxing is in his blood, so he seeks out Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) and asks the retired champ to be his trainer. Rocky sees much of Apollo in Adonis, and agrees to mentor him, even as he battles an opponent deadlier than any in the ring. With Rocky's help, Adonis soon gets a title shot, but whether he has the true heart of a fighter remains to be seen.

"when you get to the top, you think you can fly" - for me, this is immediately a reference to his famous theme "Gonna Fly Now" and to the scene of his run from the movie, which became a legend, and began this story. And seeing how difficult it is for him to climb to the top, showing how his time is finally coming to an end and he can finally rest, I also remember the scene of how he climbed quite easily earlier when his time was just beginning. And as for me, Rocky passes the baton to Adonis in this scene.

Adonis is a blessing for Rocky. So is Rocky for Adonis. Beautiful indeed.

I love it, this is a passing of the torch, a continuation of the spirit of Rocky.

Rocky was more than a fighter. He is also an icon and inspiration.

I admire the fact that Adonis won everyone's respect and that Conlan won the fight. Because, Conlan wanted to have one final payday so his kids could have a roof over their head. Adonis winning Conlan's and everyone else's respect was more to the Creed name for sure.

What makes this more wholesome is Stallone’s Background in general. He was homeless before the original Rocky, he sold his dog to a random man just because he didn’t have the needs to support his dog. When he wrote Rocky, the directors didn’t want him playing Rocky. They offered him a tons of money for the rights to the movie and still declined until he was given his role. After the movies success, Stallone went back to the man who he sold his dog too and offered him the same amount he sold it for. The man told him no, Rocky offered thousands and got his dog back. So to see him in the original Rocky make it to the top of the steps, showed regardless of the adversity, he made it. Now in this movie, Rocky is fighting cancer and still in spite of that adversity, the never give up mentality is still ingrained in him. Amazing cinematography. 👍
