It would have been better if they'd called these hearings on federal law enforcement overreach, or hearings on federal violations of the First Amendment. There's got to be an effort to move these issues out of the arena of Republicans vs. Democrats, right vs. left, and pro-Trump vs. anti-Trump, into the domain of basic civil liberties.
