Surviving the River Mersey on my Canal boat

Taking my Narrowboat across the River Mersey
After weeks of single handing my narrowboat through many locks and swing bridges to Salthouse Dock in Liverpool, I then make plans and get the Rum Wench ready for her next big adventure through Brunswick lock across the dangerous and tidal River Mersey to Eastham Lock and onto the Manchester Ship Canal towards Ellesmere Port.

How much does it cost to cross the Mersey?
Salthouse Dock, Liverpool £15 a night (I was there 6 nights at £90)

I have to say Heidi, this was brilliant. When you were waiting for the lock to to open, my heart was pounding as you pulled off the wall and when I saw all that water I got so excited for you.
