* I recommend avoiding Cinque Terre during bad weather. We were told that the hiking trail was closed even the day after the storm because the trail was still wet and dangerous. Our schedule was too tight so we couldn't shift our schedule, but we could have made some changes if we knew there was not much we could do during thunderstorms. However, Cinque Terre is absolutely beautiful we would love to come back one day and hope to do the hiking trail.*
